Raquel Schwartz is a visual artist, curator and cultural administrator. She studied Graphic Design in Wizo School of Design, Haifa, Israel and ceramics and sculpture studies in Santa Bárbara City College, California, United States.
She has participated in more than 100 individual and collective exhibitions in Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Uruguay, United States, Cuba, Trinidad and Tobago, Italy, Switzer- land, South Korea, Russia, United Kingdom and other places.
Since 2006 to the present, she is the director of Kiosko Galeria, an independent space for contemporary art that promotes the exchange of experiences of international artists with Bolivian artists through residencies, exhibitions, conversations, workshops and conferences.
She is a member of the advisory committee of CIFO, Fundación Cisneros Fontanals, Miami USA, since 2011. She lives and works in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
