New publication by BBK Bundesverband with contributions a.o. from IGBK

The new issue of kultur politik is dedicated to the topic of art in public spaces (KiöR) and covers a broad range of topics, from reflections on various aspects inherent to art itself, to the promotion of KiöR and the specific situation of KiöR in Hanover, to proposals for updating the procedures governing art in public spaces.

In an article, IGBK Chair and co-project leader Christine Düwel summarizes the IGBK’s activities as part of its annual project "Opening Space | Promoting Encounters". The two-year project (2025–26) examines local artistic initiatives that work in an interdisciplinary manner and create spaces for encounter in public spaces and in collaboration with neighborhoods. With additional contributions by: Thorsten Goldberg, Kay von Keitz, Burghard Müller-Dannhausen, Carina Plath, Dagmar Schmidt, and Denise Winter.
