 Symposium at The Bluecoat

With the symposium entitled "Artists Make Change," the International Association of Art (IAA) Europe and a-n The Artists Information Company explored how collectiveness, collaboration and new ways of working can shape a more equitable art world. at an event held in Liverpool on 12 September 2025.

The inputs and conversations focussed on three key areas:

1. the essential role of artists in generating resources, reports and campaigns that advocate for structural change
2. the power of collaboration to create visibility and equity in our sector
3. the issues that demand our immediate attention today. How can we focus our collective energyto better advocate for artists’ rights?
