The strategy formulated by the European Commission, as an outcome of the EU’s so-called Cultural Compass, is intended to "benefit culture in general and the European cultural sector in particular, as well as citizens by supporting innovation, unleashing AI for European cultural sovereignty and promoting the development and use of AI to uphold genuine creation, and cultural and linguistic diversity and inclusion." According to current information from the European Commission, the adoption of this AI strategy, which will also take into account the feedback received under this Call for Evidence, is planned for the first quarter of 2027.
