Künstlerhaus Schwalenberg

The painter's town of Schwalenberg in south-eastern Lippe has been a magnet for artists since the 19th century, who found inspiration for their artistic work in the idyllic surroundings. In the early 20th century, an artists' colony was established there. Since the 1970s, the Lippe Regional Association and the town of Schieder-Schwalenberg have continued the tradition of the painter's town as an art venue through regular art exhibitions, the Schwalenberg Summer Academy and art events.

The scholarship is announced annually. Applications are accepted from January to 15 February, and the scholarship period runs from 1 May to 31 October.
