Schloss Ringenberg offers a place for artists to work individually in a rural setting that is directly connected to the urban centres of the Rhineland and the Netherlands thanks to its connection to the A3/A12. Ten studios (50 - 80 sqm) are available to the scholarship holders.

The aim of the scholarships is to provide the scholarship holders with financial security for the duration of the scholarship, so that they can concentrate their work in one place. In addition, the simultaneous presence of several scholarship holders opens up intensive opportunities for exchange, promoted by monthly organised studio talks, moderated by the project management and the project staff, which serve the in-depth discussion and reflection of the respective artistic processes.

At the end of the year, the scholarship holders show their work in a joint exhibition. In addition, there is an "export" exhibition in one of the two Dutch partner museums, the Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen or the Museum voor Moderne Kunst Arnhem.

The Ringenberg scholarship is aimed at artists who have completed an artistic degree.
Two scholarships are awarded by the Minister President of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. Applications are open to artists who have studied and live in North Rhine-Westphalia. The age limit is 39 years.
