Artist in Residence – Druckwerkstatt Garbisdorf

For over 30 years, the local history society Göpfersdorf in the district of Garbisdorf in Eastern Thuringia has operated a gallery in which more than 150 exhibitions of painting and graphics have already taken place. As a special intention, we consider the promotion and appreciation of printmaking. For this reason, we have been awarding a scholarship since 2018, in which artists can work, try out and experiment in our print workshop for letterpress and gravure printing for four weeks. A presentation of the work created during the scholarship concludes the stay. The scholarship is awarded to artists whose artistic work is at the core of his/her activity. It provides for the artist to work and perform on site during the fellowship. It includes accommodation in a local guesthouse, a travel allowance of 400 € and a material allowance of 500 €. A jury decides on the award.
