Have your say until 07 May 2025
We would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the European Commission's current survey on the EU's next multiannual financial framework.
Respond to the questionnaire (until 7 May 2025)
The questionnaire is aimed, among others, at citizens, NGOs and other interested groups in order to obtain feedback in the process of preparing the new EU budget from 2028.
The IGBK is engaged at the European level within the organizations Culture Action Europe (as part of the European Secretariat of German Cultural NGOs) and On The Move to ensure that the interests of artists are also heard and strengthened at the relevant political and administrative decision-making points.
From the information provided by the European Commission for this survey:
The European Commission is preparing for the next multiannual financial framework (MFF), the EU’s long-term budget, which will start in 2028. Following President von der Leyen’s Political Guidelines for the 2024–2029 European Commission, the Commission aims to create a simpler, more focused, and responsive budget that reflects European strategic priorities. To achieve this, seven public consultations are launched to gather views from interested parties on how to make the most of the EU budget. The consultations will cover various policy areas, including cohesion policy, agriculture, and home affairs, with the goal of creating a more effective and efficient budget that delivers on key objectives. The Commission’s proposals are expected to be presented in 2025.
The European Commission is looking for the following groups to respond to the questionnaire:
- EU institutions, national authorities and institutions, regional and local authorities,
- Recipients of EU funding including farmers, researchers, students, and more,
- Citizens,
- Businesses, SMEs and business associations,
- other stakeholders (non-exhaustive list): relevant civil society organisations, research/scientific community, academia, think tank, media, etc,
- International stakeholders.
Those interested can contribute to this consultation by filling in the online questionnaire. Questionnaires are available in some or all official EU languages and people can submit their responses in any official EU language.
