Open call for the conceptual design of a memorial site commemorating the colonial legacies of the city of Flensburg. No artistic specifications are given for the memorial site. Applications are open to individuals and (multidisciplinary) teams from the fields of visual arts, didactics of history, landscape architecture, or architecture of any nationality. In stage 1 (deadline April 30, 2026), only digital draft designs are requested. In stage 2, the Flensburg public will vote on the selected designs.

There is no fixed budget for realization. The realization costs will be covered by fundraising from the Flensburg public.
