From 03 - 09 june 2024, the action week EUROPE TO THE MANY will take place for the 2024 European elections.
The focus will be on decentralized events of the various cultural institutions and actors with actions, exchange and debate formats in which the art of remaining many is in the foreground.

Program of the Berlin Action Week
The Berlin program of the action week starts on 02 June and ranges from lecture performances, discussion events, workshops and exchange formats to networking with initiatives from civil society and an election campaign camp to a joint stroll and a protest festival. The aim is to recall the resistance of the art and culture scene to the right, to discuss it openly and to enable broad participation.

Shining block at the “Stop right-wing extremism” demonstration at Großer Stern on 08 June 2024 at 1 pm
Meeting point is at the campsite opposite the House of World Cultures.
(NEW update on 05.06.2024) Due to the European Football Championship in Germany, the meeting point for the start of the demonstration in Berlin on Saturday 8.6. has to be moved to 13h at Hansaplatz in front of the GRIPS Theater!
A broad alliance of civil society organizations is mobilizing nationwide for demonstrations under the motto “Stop right-wing extremism – defend democracy” ahead of the European elections on 09 June. The highlight will be simultaneous demonstrations in Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart on Saturday, 08 June 2024.
The Berlin VIELEN are calling for the shining block of the VIELEN. The meeting point is at 1 pm on the campground near the Haus der Kulturen der Welt.

“Art creates a space to change the world.” This is the first sentence of the joint declaration of DIE VIELEN (THE MANY). With this truth in mind, DIE VIELEN are issuing an urgent call once more to make the world shine brightly for pluralism and democracy. Let’s make a stand together against right-wing extremism! It is high time that we take action once again. Survey results are indicating: extreme right-wing politics are receiving more and more support with their nationalistic and hate-driven agenda throughout the nation and in multiple states. Right-wing extremists want to eradicate democracy. Not on our watch!
NEVER AGAIN can theaters, operas and orchestras, museums, literary institutions, libraries and cultural centers or movie theaters do their work in the service of anti-democrats and fascists. It is time to stand up against this contempt for humanity and the destruction of our democratic culture – right now especially we will commit ourselves to fighting every form of anti-Semitism and racism while we embody and empower human dignity, democratic values as well as change. We are calling on the 5,000 arts and culture institutions that signed the declaration of DIE VIELEN: Shield & Shine! Let’s raise thousands of democratic shields in all of the federal states! (...)
