Tony Karlsson Savci (b. 1988 in Södertälje, Sweden) is a transdisciplinary artist and teacher based in Stockholm, Sweden predominantly working with performance, installation, and text in collective processes and collaboration. They hold an MA in Fine Arts from Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts, and Design in Stockholm, did an exchange semester at the International Academy of Art Palestine in Ramallah, and participated in the post-master Collective Practices Research Program at the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm.
Karlsson Savci has worked with artists such as Every Ocean Hughes, Makda Embaie, and Mar Fjell, pop star Zhala, and the collective Brown Island. They have exhibited at Mint ABF, Konsthall C, Index, and SKF Konstnärshuset in Stockholm, Solyanka State Gallery in Moscow, OFF Biennale in Cairo, Rah Residency in Tehran, and Baerum Kunsthall in Oslo. They work as a teacher at Gerlesborgsskolan Stockholm, a two-year foundation program in fine art, and have done more pedagogical work for Konstfack and Grafikens Hus.
Karlsson Savci is currently working towards an exhibition on queer identity within the Syriac-Orthrodox church at Södertälje Konsthall, as well as on the artist-run collective project space Munnen in Bagarmossen, with Sara Kaaman, Johnny Chang, and Michael Bekele, centering publishing as an artistic method. Munnen works from an expanded sense of publishing to distribute art, printed matter, coffee and tea, walks, talks, and a reading room/library.
