Vasif Kortun

Since 2001 "Platform Garanti" acts as a dynamic catalyst for the dissemination, research and practise of contemporary art in Istanbul. It provides a meeting point for the exchange between contemporary artists, curators and critics and has, in addition, become a cultural portal for the region. Through a residency programme and a broad range of initiatives it promotes collaborations with countries, where the contemporary art scene is developing and art and funding structures still need to be established.
