Since summer 2022, the BIP informs and advises artists, creatives and organizers on administrative issues in cross-border work. The Brexit Infopoint (BIP) offers know-how for creative activities between Germany and the United Kingdom.
The organisation On the Move (OTM) supports artists and culture professionals to operate internationally and works on reimagining cultural mobility as fairer, and more sustainable and inclusive. ITI Germany, IGBK and Dachverband Tanz are members of OTM.
Within OTM, the network of Mobility Information Points (MIP) has joined forces. MIP are information centres and/or websites tackling administrative challenges facing artists and culture professionals when working across borders. Key issues are e.g. visa, social insurance, taxes, customs.
MIPs exist in several European countries and one in the USA. The partner organisations are central contact points for artists and organisers when it comes to administrative issues of international mobility in relation to their respective countries. As the German MIP, touring artists is part of this important network.
The Brexit Infopoint is a cooperation of the International Theatre Institute (ITI) Germany, the Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden Künste and the Dachverband Tanz Deutschland, within the framework of touring artists. It is funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
