Katarina Renman Claesson has specialized in intellectual property and art legal issues since the early 2000s, with a particular interest in artistic freedom. She holds various legal positions at Stockholm University and has worked in intellectual property (innovation and IPR strategies), copyright law, art and cultural law, as well as IT law.
Katarina serves as the legal counsel for the Artists' Association of Sweden and was recently elected to the Swedish UNESCO Council's Committee on Democracy's Voice, which is a collaboration among cultural practitioners, researchers, and journalists addressing common democracy challenges.
Katarina is part of the round table at the 2024 visual artists | diverse conditions conference (Berlin).
